when i want to try to activate wp-super cache, then display internal server error 500. i’ve change my wp-content permission 777, also same did with .hyaccess file. but same problem.

In this post i saw, to activate apache modules, how can i do that, also how can i know is my server support caching or not

hi,
I’m getting following error after I enable the WP-super cache

Missing Apache Modules

The following Apache modules are missing. The plugin will work in half-on mode without them. In full Supercache mode, your visitors may see corrupted pages or out of date content however.

* mod_headers – Required to set caching information on supercache pages. IE7 users will see old pages without this module.
* mod_expires – Set the expiry date on supercached pages. Visitors may not see new pages when they refresh or leave comments without this module.

what do I need to do ???

Could you post the contents of your .htaccess file?

I’m pretty sure that you can just modify the .htaccess file yourself. You need to change the permissions for somethings, but not this.

Hm, that’s interesting. I’ve never used web.config (that’s Windows IIS, right?), only .htaccess (Apache’s configuration file). I’m not really sure. Does this problem still exist if you disable the plugin?

If I search on my pages, for example for “oven roasted garlic”, the results shows 2 pages. If I go to page 2, instead of showing the search results for page 2, it shows the second page of my blog entries…

So, some configuration needed, I’m thinking an exception in the web.config file (I’m on Windows).

Any thoughts?

My server doesn’t allow me to change permissions for the htaccess file. Any ideas?
