Sitemaps? They help?

My former belief was that sitemaps were basically worthless. (I used to think that) Google only indexes sitemaps every once in a while, and they didn’t really help. This was proved wrong, though.

After reading this post on sitemaps, I completely changed my point of view.

It’s a really awesome post. If you have the choice between reading the rest of this post, or reading the post I linked to above, read the post that I linked too above.

I’ve always been a strong believer that sitemaps didn’t really help. That’s not exactly true though – they can sometimes get you index faster than with any other method.

Here’s the truth about SEO – there is no golden method for anything. You need to combine as many methods as possible to succeed. The most important method of all, however, is have quality content.
